Baxi Baxi 600/800/Assure System 2 and 600 Combi 2 platform fault E.04.14
Temperature difference between set point and burner exceeds 60s vs GVC configuration
Gas boilerWhat it means
The temperature difference between the set point and the burner varies more than 60 s compared to the GVC configuration
Likely causes
- Carbon/soot buildup in heat exchanger
- Cracked or damaged burner
- Worn burner flange gasket
- Damaged front insulation panel
Where to start
- Isolate the unit from the power supply (disconnect the boiler from the main power supply)
- Cut off the gas supply to the boiler
- Close the hydraulic cocks

Safety: Isolate gas and power before you open the case. If you have been into the gas side, do a tightness test, and a combustion and flue check before you hand back. Gas Safe (UK) or RGI (Ireland) work only.
