Immergas Victrix fault 29

Flue probe anomaly

Gas boiler

What it means

The board detects an anomaly on the flue gas probe.

Likely causes

  1. Fault on flue gas probe
  2. Obstructed or poorly positioned intake/exhaust terminals causing recirculation of flue gases into intake air
  3. Obstructed intake grids or exhaust terminals
  4. Poor flue termination positioning causing recirculation
  5. Poor terminal placement causing recirculation
  6. Combustion air contaminated with chlorine, sulphur or powders
  7. Chemical substances stored in the installation area
  8. Installation in beauty salons, paint workshops, carpenter's shops, cleaning companies without a separated combustion air supply
  9. Combustion air fed through chimneys previously used with liquid or solid fuel boilers causing soot accumulation
  10. Sprays, solvents, chlorine-based detergents, paints, glue, ammonium compounds, powders in combustion air supply
  11. Poor terminal positioning causing recirculation

Where to start

  1. Access Information menu parameter d1.6 to verify flue probe temperature reading
  2. Measure CO2 at air sample points
  3. Confirm intake grids and exhaust terminals are not obstructed

Safety: Isolate gas and power before you open the case. If you have been into the gas side, do a tightness test, and a combustion and flue check before you hand back. Gas Safe (UK) or RGI (Ireland) work only.
