How to Use TradeAssistIQ

A quick guide for engineers using diagnostics, job reports, signatures and job history.

1

Run a diagnosis

Open Fault Diagnostics from the dashboard. Enter the appliance brand, model and fault code if available. You can also describe the symptom, such as no hot water, ignition lockout, low pressure, no flow or noisy pump.

Example: Vaillant F28, Ideal Logic F1, Grant E04, Triton T90SR no hot water
2

Read the diagnostic guidance

TradeAssistIQ will return likely causes, checks and repair guidance. Use this as a technical aid while carrying out your own professional checks on site.

3

Create a report from a diagnosis

After a diagnosis appears, press Create Job Sheet. TradeAssistIQ will carry the clean diagnosis into a report so you do not need to copy and paste everything manually.

4

Complete the report

Add the customer details, appliance details, work carried out, parts used and engineer notes. The engineer and company name are pulled from your profile.

5

Sign on screen

Use the engineer and customer signature boxes on a phone or tablet. The customer can sign with their finger. Tick the confirmation boxes if the work has been explained and completed.

6

Download the PDF

Press Download Report PDF. The PDF is generated on your device and can be saved, shared or emailed to the customer. TradeAssistIQ does not store the PDF file itself.

7

Search job history

Open Job History from the dashboard. Search by customer name, address, manufacturer, model, fault code, serial number or job number.

8

Edit or delete a job

Open any saved job from Job History. You can update the details, regenerate the PDF, or delete the job if it was created by mistake.

Important safety note

TradeAssistIQ is a diagnostic support tool. It does not replace professional judgement, manufacturer instructions, Gas Safe, RGI, OFTEC, F-Gas or electrical competency requirements. Only carry out work you are qualified and competent to perform.

Quick start

The fastest way to learn TradeAssistIQ is to run one diagnosis, create one report, sign it, download the PDF, then find it again in Job History.
