Gas boilerWhat it means
Signal indicating communication with the appliance PCB has been lost for more than 30 seconds. The boiler continues to operate but with no display or keys.
Likely causes
- PCB communication failure exceeding 30 seconds
- Short circuit in wiring causing fuse failure
Where to start
- Isolate appliance from electrical supply
- If fuse failed but no fault indicated, carry out detailed continuity check and visual inspection of components
- Use conductors no larger than 0.5mm² for CE4 MODBUS connections
