Grant Aerona R290 fault E36
Power off reset
Heat pumpWhat it means
Fault code indicating a power off reset event occurred.
Likely causes
- Cables incorrectly connected
- Refrigerant & Drive PCB is faulty
- Incorrect dip switch settings on hydraulic PCB
Where to start
- Check all connections from the Refrigerant PCB (or Refrigerant & Drive PCB for the 16kW model)
- Refer to dip switch settings (SW1-SW4) and check these are correctly set for the heat pump model and installed system

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
From the Grant manual for the Aerona R290. Check the model on the data plate before you order parts.
