Grant Aerona R290 fault P01
Air in system or low water level
Heat pumpWhat it means
Displayed on the touch screen display during initial switch on, indicating a possible air ingress in the system or that the water level in the system is below the required minimum.
Likely causes
- Lack of water in water system
- Water flow switch is faulty
- Water system is blocked
- Air in pump/system
- Air trapped in the system
- Water level in system less than the required minimum
Where to start
- Check system water pressure
- Check whether the water flow switch is damaged/faulty
- Check if filter is blocked

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
From the Grant manual for the Aerona R290. Check the model on the data plate before you order parts.
