Midea M-Thermal Arctic HT R290 Mono fault H5

Ta room temperature sensor error

Heat pump

What it means

Ta room temperature sensor error. Sensor is located inserted on the PCB of the User Interface.

Likely causes

  1. Ta room temperature sensor failure inserted on User Interface PCB
  2. Loose, misconnected, broken or moisturized sensor connection
  3. Sensor short-circuit (resistance < 0.5 kΩ)
  4. Sensor failure (resistance > 380 kΩ)
  5. Resistance inconsistent with resistance characteristics table
  6. Sensor probe dislodged from installation position
  7. Main Control PCB failure
  8. Water temperature sensor resistance does not match expected characteristics table value
  9. Set temperature reached

Where to start

  1. Locate sensor inserted on PCB of User Interface
  2. Check the Dip switch settings or User Interface settings as illustrated; if No, reset dip switch and reboot the unit, make sure parameters are set available
  3. If Yes, check if temperature sensor connection on Main Control PCB is loose, misconnected, broken or moisturized; if Yes, reconnect the temperature sensor correctly and keep it dry
